Welcome to Fexo Video Player — your powerful video playback and editing companion. At Fexo FZC LLC, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application ("the App"), which allows you to play videos stored on your device, trim and edit clips, continue audio in the background, and share your content.
By using Fexo Video Player, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
We are committed to minimal data collection. Fexo Video Player does not require accounts, and we never collect personally identifiable information unless strictly necessary for functionality.

Local-First Approach: All recordings you create, editing history, and app preferences are stored exclusively on your device. We maintain no remote database containing your recorded content.
Security Practices: We follow industry best practices: encrypted data transmission (where applicable), secure API communication only for crash reporting, and regular security reviews.
Retention: Since all recording data lives on your device, you can clear app data or uninstall the App to permanently remove all information at any time.
Fexo Video Player requests only the permissions necessary to deliver its playback and editing features. Below is a full breakdown:

| Background Playback | Keeps audio playing and the media controls available when you switch to another app or turn off the screen during playback. |
| Internet Access | Connects to the internet to load app content, advertisements, remote settings, and other online features. |
| Notifications | Shows playback controls and export progress as notifications on your device. You can turn notifications off at any time without losing playback. |
| Storage Access (Read) | Reads images, videos, and files already saved on your device storage on older Android versions, so the app can find and play your media. |
| Video Access | Accesses videos on your device so the app can list, play, and edit them. This is the core permission for a video player. |
| Selected Media Only | Lets you grant access to only the specific videos or photos you pick, instead of your whole library, on Android 14 and newer. |
| Microphone | Records audio through the microphone for optional voice-over narration when you add commentary to a video you are editing. It is never used in the background. |
| Keep Awake | Prevents the device from sleeping while a video is playing or an export is running, so playback and processing are not interrupted. |
| Storage Access (Save) | Saves edited videos, trimmed clips, and exported files back to your device storage on older Android versions. |
We use limited third-party tools solely to maintain app quality:
No advertising SDKs, no tracking SDKs for cross-app profiling, and no data brokers. Your recordings stay yours, always.
Depending on your region (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have rights over your data. Since all user-generated content is stored locally:
Fexo Video Player is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will ensure data is promptly removed. Camera and microphone permissions should be used under parental guidance for younger users.
We may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or technical changes. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. For significant updates, we will notify you via in-app notice or on our website.
