Welcome to Fexo Zip (package com.fexo.file.compressor.extractor) — your powerful file compression companion. At Fexo FZC LLC, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application ("the App"), which allows you to compress files into archives, extract ZIP, RAR, 7z and TAR files, browse your storage, and share your archives.
By using Fexo Zip, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
We are committed to minimal data collection. Fexo Zip does not require accounts, and we never collect personally identifiable information unless strictly necessary for functionality.

We do NOT: Sell personal information, upload your files or archives, access file contents for any purpose other than compression or extraction at your request, or track your location.
Local-First Approach: All archives you create, extracted files, and app preferences are stored exclusively on your device. We maintain no remote database containing your files or archive contents.
Security Practices: We follow industry best practices: encrypted data transmission (where applicable), secure API communication only for crash reporting, and regular security reviews.
Retention: Since all file data lives on your device, you can clear app data or uninstall the App to permanently remove all information at any time.
Fexo Zip requests only the permissions necessary to deliver its compression, extraction and file management features. Below is a full breakdown:

| Foreground Service | Lets long compression or extraction jobs keep running reliably while you switch to another app, instead of being cancelled by the system halfway through. |
| Foreground Service (Data Sync) | Declares the specific type of the above foreground service, as required by Android, so that reading and writing your archive files can continue in the background. |
| Internet Access | Used to load app configuration, in-app ads, and crash reports. Your files and archives are never uploaded over this connection. |
| All Files Access | Required so the App can act as a full archive manager: browse any folder, open archives wherever they are saved, and write extracted files to the location you choose. If you deny it, the App falls back to the system file picker and keeps working. |
| Notifications | Shows progress for long compress or extract jobs and tells you when a task has finished. You can turn notifications off at any time without losing functionality. |

We use limited third-party tools solely to maintain app quality and support the App:

Depending on your region (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have rights over your data. Since all user-generated content is stored locally:
Fexo Zip is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will ensure data is promptly removed. Storage and media permissions should be used under parental guidance for younger users.
We may update this policy to reflect operational, legal, or technical changes. The "Effective Date" at the top indicates the latest revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. For significant updates, we will notify you via in-app notice or on our website.
